A security update has been rushed out ahead of the normal update schedule to address a critical security hole that affects Windows 2000, XP and Vista. The specific bulletin issued by Microsoft was MS08-067. The vulnerability could allow code to be remotely executed on an effected Windows 2000, Windows XP, or Windows Server 2003 system.
